During my surf this morning over breakfast, I stubled across information and pictures regarding a new Olympus XZ-1 compact camera. If the leaked information is accurate this looks like some compact. The sensor is the same as the mighty Panasonic LX5, the lens features a maximum aperture range of f1.8 to f2.5 across the range of 28-112mm. It could be the first camera to feature a OLED screen as well.

Full details to be announced on 6th January at the CES show allegedly, so not long to wait to find out if it as good as it sounds.

Santa failed to get around the M25 this year with a E-5 so perhaps next year he might be more tempted to drop off a XZ-1!

Cheers
