Given the choice between taking a shot with the Zuiko 12-60mm at 50mm and the 50-200mm SWD at 50mm, what to you think would be the best choice - giving the best image quality?

There's not a lot in it with my samples of the two lenses other than the 50-200 being nearly a full stop faster. I'd use which ever I'd got on the camera. But in my case 99% of the time I'm using a big tripod and the lenses at f5.6 to f8. The answer may be different for someone hand holding or using the lenses wide open.

The only time I choose one lens over another when there's focal length overlap is with the 7-14 and the 12-60. My sample of the 7-14 has less distortion at 12-14 than my 12-60 has so I'd use the 7-14.
