Anybody got one? Opinions against a Zuiko 9-18?

Would be around the same price with an adapter as an m.Zuiko 9-18mm - which do we reckon would be most worthwhile?

I've got a Sigma 10-20. I've had it for years and I love it!

Thankfully I seemed to have got a sharp copy. The lens is a pleasure to use and well balance on my E3, infact for the derelict stuff I do it doesn't really leave my camera, well apart from one time when I bust it lol.

I've only used the 9-18 once, its a cracking lens but a little and unbalance on my E3 but thats only imho.

The only way I would get rid of my 10-20 would be if I got the 7-14 :)

I have one of these, I have achieved some excellent results on my E3 and 520, The wife aslo pinches it off me and uses it with her 510 for landscapes. Have not tried the ZuiKo 9-18 so cannot compare but I think the Sigma does represent good value for money in comparison to the ZuiKo. I agree with Garrie would probably only change it for 7-14 if I could find one at the right price.

Sounds encouraging - do either of you have any image samples I could oggle? (liking the sound of derelict - since that's what it'll be used for by me too!)

Hi,

I'm currently away from my pc but there is a lot of stuff at my gallery - www.onemileahead.co.uk - under the derelict section (gritty hdr warning) I think all the exif data is present as some sites were shot before I got the sigma!

Once I'm home tomorrow I can post some non tonemapped examples!

A 7-14 would be nice but a tad pricey, plus I like the overlapping focal length at the tele end of the 10-20, would save changing lenses so often.

Garrie there are some cracking shots in there, but I havent been able to view the EXIF info for the ones I've checked, it could just be that I've looked at all teh wrong images mind!
