Does anybody out there have experience of the Sigma 150 f2.8 macro lens.
I've personally had very mixed results with a number of Sigma lenses, so I would appreciate any info from current/previous users.

Ther are a number of users of the Sigma 150 on the group, I think we all regard it as a very good lens, excellent for macro use (where it partners well with the Olympus telecoverters) and OK as fast tele.

The one caveat is that is optimised for macro use, so focus is very deliberate for other purposes.

Without doubt one of my favourites, very well built and optically very impressive.
The only two slight negatives are that it's a little on the slow side to focus (but there is a focus limiter that helps) and it's quite weighty.

Overall not a lens I would want to sell in a hurry :)

I agree with Greytop. I've had good results handheld with insects using the FL50 - 1/250 at around f10 for DOF.

Thanks Guys,

I think father Christmas might be asked for one of these.

Thanks Again

I love it. Don't forget, it's only available from remaining stock as Sigma is not making them for 4/3s anymore. Better tell Santa to hurry.
