I wonder if the new lens will be better optically?

There wasn't much wrong with the original one if you ask me :)

I don't see much wrong with the original lens, in fact I was very suprised how good it is.

I find it a little soft (on the E-P2). But then, I don't use this lens a right lot!

ISO 6400, presumably just lifted the software block that stopped that being selected in the menus. Can't say that as a change it really excites me.

Much more useful would be lifting the software block on shutter speed (1/2000) to the same speed (1/4000) as the other PENs and making that available to existing owners by a firmware upgrade. The E-PL1 struggles with bright light and shallow dof (say on the om 50 1.8).

Bit of a strange move by Olympus, presumably trying to wring out a few more sales in the absence of a new camera for Christmas.

Slow to focus, hunts a lot, rotating front element.
