I thave a e520

A few months ago I bought a cheapo shutter rlease thing.

I'm playing with my tripod & macro lens & thought I'd use it
It came with no instructions & there doesnt seem to be anything (although i might be looking in the wrong place!) in the E520 instructions.

Does I plug into the same socket as the PC connector??

Can anyone provide a simple idiot proof step by step??

Hi
If it's the Jueying wired one I've got the same on my 520 yes it plug's into the usb/video out socket. Don't forget you can half press the button for the same action's as on your camera shutter button.

I want a wired shutter release for my E30/E510 but I can't be bothered paying the 70 pounds for the Olympus one. Mind sharing where you bought yours?

Take a look on eBay I got one for my 510 around 6 months ago and if I remember right it cost around a fiver. Just plugs into the USB.

For those, like me, who don't have an ebay account!
I just did a search on Amazon.co.uk for 'Olympus shutter release' and it returned a lot of results. 6 pounds for a shutter release. Bargain!
