Has anyone got a user manual for the sigma 150 macro 4/3rd. I have just purchased a used lens but there is no manual. Would appreciate it if someone could maybe photocopy it for me or better still sell me one.
Here's hoping
Cheers

I've never read the manual for a lens - just put it on and look through it usually does the trick...

Being more helpful most of the things you would need to know such as filter size etc) should be availalble here

Hi Shenstone,
I usually do what you do but this thing has a switch on the left with three settings plus the auto and manual switch. Take a look at the first link you listed and you will see what I mean. It looks straight forward enough but some advice would'nt go amiss.
Thanks for the links But I had a look around on thier site and could not find anything.
Cheers

I don't have the manual to hand, it isn't in the box so that means I must have looked at (or meant to) at some time.

The three position switch is a focus limitor -

Full = it tries to find focus over the complete range from 0.38m to infinity
0.82- infinity means it tries to find focus over this range
0.38-0.52 are for close up objects lss than 0.52 m away.

This is because as a macro lens focus is very deliberate.

The other point worth noting is that you can always manually assist focus, - but (unless you've selected) m-f don't turn the ring when depressing the shutter button - both you and the motor will be trying to work, perhaps in opposition.

I have the manual. All it does is to state the bleeding obvious. Namely that it's a three position focus limiter and that you set it to whatever you think you need for a particular shot. Otherwise the manual is no use at all and doesn't even mention Oly.

Thanks Melaka. I think we should all follow Shenstones advice then.
